A day with the Celts

The boys went on a hunt for the Letter E:

After reading our history lesson about Celtic Warriors, we made oatcakes.

First, there was measuring:

After a break (because we're all sick), Noah painted a Celtic pattern:

Starting the day off write

Cooper grabbed our instructions for the volcano bomb at the breakfast table this morning and proceeded to write at the bottom of the paper. He said, "Cop Dog. That's the kind that sniffs out the bad guys."

Lava Bombs and Volcanoes

After reading this book:

We made our own baking soda volcano:

This pleased everyone.

Then, we painted our own volcanoes.

Cooper included lava bombs (They're real. Look it up.). Notice his weasel, which is running away from the volcano to the orange tree, is being smashed by a lava bomb. Amazingly, he survived.

Caleb was not a part of the volcanic activities but did decorate his own cupcake.
